About

My name is Sarah – or Sarah Kate, depending on how you know me 🙂 I’m 32 years old and I’ve been married to my computer genius of a husband for nearly 4 wonderful years. I’m a mom to our son, Caelan, who turned 1 earlier this summer and I’m a cat mom to two massive and cute balls of fur. This blog started out as a cake blog, but with my cake business taking a hiatus of undetermined length and other things taking a front seat in my life, the blog has sort of morphed. Now it’s a “life” blog. If I make any cakes/desserts, they will certainly be featured here but I also have some home improvement stuff and some baby stuff and whatever else I feel like talking about. Thanks for reading 🙂

    Hi Sarah,
Did you make the template for the footprints? It is totally adorable!
If not, where can I get one?

      Hi Debi,
Do you mean for the Tiny Toes cake? For that, I printed out a picture of the napkin and cut out the footprints for a template. Then I traced around them on the fondant. Hope that helps!

Hi, I’m doing a cars/race car themed birthday for my son in early August. Your birthday party looked great! I was wondering how you designed the Pit Passes, like where you got the graphics and what program. I’m computer savvy but… Also did you use cones with balloons attached to them? If so, how did you attach them? I’m in mom panic party mode 😝

    Thanks,
    Colleen

      Hi Colleen,
Thanks! I just used MS Word to make the pit passes and the graphics came from a Google Image search.
I did not use balloons in cones. That came from another Cars party out there (Kate’s party, I think).
      Good luck!!
